Any interest in a Virtual Quilt Weekend next weekend?
I see someone started a thread about Christmas gifts and how far along we are. So I thought next weekend (6/15-6/16) would be a good time to start working on Christmas gifts and hoped others would like to join me for a Virtual Quilt Weekend. I'll probably start a new thread sometime Friday for those overseas. Everyone is invited to join in, and you don't have to work on Christmas gifts!
For those who don't know, Virtual Quilting is when we quilt "together" and share how we're all doing. Pictures are especially enjoyed so we can share in your progress. Just join the thread next weekend, tell us what you're going to work on and then check back in periodically to let us know how it's going and to see what others are up to.
Hope lots of you can join me!

You're right. I'll be quilting this weekend anyway; my dad is in NYS. I know the following weekend is graduation for a lot of people so figured it was a toss-up which weekend would be better.

I will be finishing a Father's Day quilt for my sons to give to my DH. It is a t-shirt quilt of the boys' shirts. It is pinned and ready to quilt. I am also finishing a baby quilt for a coworker. I have about 30% of it done. I am gifting 3 other quilts this week and just have to finish the binding on one of them by Friday.

I like the idea of beginning Christmas gifts!! If I didn't do it in the virtual, I would keep procrastinating! I will be watching the other thread to get ideas...With 14 grandchildren and 9 children, I need to make everything I can! If anyone has any ideas for the grand (ages 13-6 months) let me know!! I'm IN!

Count me in. My hubby already announced he'll be watching the US Open (golf) all weekend, so it sounds like the perfect time for me to go upstairs and sew. I went to a sew-in last Saturday where we worked on charity quilts and that has put me in the mindset to work on more this weekend. Happy sewing everyone!
