Anyone make their own appliques?
They are about $5.00 and I can't be paying that. I need to firgue out what is the best way to make them. I use them on burp cloths and such. Thanks for any tips in advance.

It seems to me that any stencil would work. Choose your fabric(s) for whatever shape you want, mark the stencil on the fabric and cut it out. I even use scrapbooking type stencils to get what I want. I would use those shapes for quilting inside squares or whatever. Fuse your cut-outs to whatever you are putting them on and zig-zag around the shapes.

I have never bought an applique, always make my own. In fact I just made 4 bowling appliques right before I got on the board. I use clip art alot and coloring pages. Sometimes I will draw it myself.
