How many of you actually use your automatic threader? I get the foot down, the thread up, hook it, pull it across push the lever-- and it won't thread! I have gone over the directions many times and usually end up threading it by hand. I was just curious. I must be doing something wrong!!

I have a Janome 1000 and have never had problems with the automatic threader. I do exactly what you do and the magic happens.

I use mine all the time too... but it took several tries to figure out exactly where the needle needed to be in order to be successful.
Get your manual out and walk thru the steps slowly. Don't give up... once you figure it out... you will love it.

What kind of machine do you have?
I was having an issue with my new Brother PE770 and realized I wasn't getting it into one section right. As soon as I figured that out, it works slick.
You need to have the pressure foot up when you are threading the upper part of the machine and only put it down just before you pull the lever down.

i have 3, the brother and the emb machine work great. the Juki does not work well - but it is on the frame and that might make the angle awkward. i love needle threaders due to my vision
