Baby Quilt Quandary

Baby Quilt Quandary
I've previously made and gifted half a dozen or so baby quilts, however, both in my passport country and the country I live in, we only give baby gifts once the baby is here. But now my American team mate is going to have a baby shower which presents me with the following problem:
The quilt is ready (almost - am going to finish it later today), but I was planning on labelling it with the baby's name and birthdate. But I'm not going to know that at the time of the shower... Knowing that baby showers are pretty common in the US, therefore my question to all you Americans: How do you gift and label baby quilts?

Why not give the quilt at the Shower and explain to the recipient that you would like to take it back so that you can label it once the baby is born.
I’m sure the mum-to-be will be delighted to have a personalised gift.

On several of my baby quilts, I have written Made for Baby (Last Name) in honor of your birth in (Year) From (Your Name). This is not exact but it does give some info and avoids taking the quilt back after the shower.

I’ve made baby quilts with labels where the name, date, etc was left blank to be filled in. I’ve also put labels that just said (example- A special quilt for a special baby girl - if they knew ahead what they were having) baby McCray - made with love by ....... August 2018

What I have seen, is that a smaller gift, maybe burp cloths or cute cuddle baby toy, is given at the shower, along with a picture of the quilt. A note saying that the quilt is for the baby and will be delivered as soon as the baby's name and birthdate can be added to the quilt is usually very much appreciated.
