A beautiful example of modern MQ on an heirloom quilt top...

I often think it's a shame when I see an old, often hand-pieced top given to an unsympathetic LAer just to be pantoed or stippled all over... But take a look at this link - it's a traditional Sunbonnet Sue top, pieced by it's owner's great-grandmother. And personally, I think that this long-armer did an absolutely fabulous and very sympathetic job on it. I think the finished quilt is now a prime example of how the old traditional can sit beautifully alongside our contemporary skills with modern machines. What do you all think? :D

That's the kind of quilting I love!!! Where almost every inch is heavily quilted. I really dislike big feathers that are 9" wide, and that's it.
