BIG FOOT by Lynn Graves vs Sew Classic FMQ with markings (for Pfaff Ambition)
Hi. Back in Feb I ordered a genuine Pfaff Open Toe Free Motion Foot for my new Pfaff Ambition 1.0. It is still back-ordered and I just finished piecing my first real quilt top and want to try FMQ. So I've done some research and am considering Lynne Graves BIG FOOT (which is also recommended in the Quilters Academy books I am working through).
However, during my research I came across a cool looking FMQ/Darning foot by Sew Classic that is large and clear like the Big Foot (available in low shank), but also has yellow markings. Not sure if the markings would be a help or a hinderance. Oh, if it matters, the Big Foot is all plastic whereas the one made by Sew Classic is part metal with clear plastic. I'm hoping someone here on this wonderful forum has used one - or both! - of these and will share their opinion? Should I wait for the genuine Pfaff Open Toe FMQ Foot or is one of these others better? Thanks in advance!

Have you done a search for Pfaff darning foot? That's what I did and I can't remember if I bought it off Ebay or some place else. But it is the exact Pfaff foot. If you ordered it from a dealer, it may be a long time before they get the foot in.
