Binding clips vs. hair clips
Has anyone used the Dritz binding clips? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER Are they stouter than regular hair clips that are about the same size and cheaper?

There are different sizes of hair clips.
Some of the hair clips are pretty much a match for those.
I just watch for them at the $ $tore and have been able to get a dozen for a $.
Besides ... some of them are much prettier than the silver of these ... so they are kind of fun when I am using them.
An vital part of my arsenal of binding supplies!
... no more pinning and they do a more even job of holding everything in place when I set to handstitch.

I use hair clips. I have no need for those expensive clips, and I only use 3 or 4 at a time. Just make sure you don't leave them in the quilt for extended periods of time. I have a friend who left her clips on a binding for a couple of years and they rusted on her quilt.

I starting using the binder clips when I started quilting. They have worked great for me. I have arthritis in my left hand and they have never been hard to open and use. Recently I found the Wonder Clips on Amazon for a great price. I bought two packages of 50 but haven't used them yet.
