not as long as i am able to do my own hand sewing. it's a great project for our Tuesday afternoon get togethers... all hand projects there

Not likely. I do think hand binding is nicer because the stitches are hidden, but for various reasons I machine bind my quilts. It's not so much that I wouldn't be willing to pay someone, but more that I don't want to go through the effort of finding someone who can do it well and is reliable, then having to get the quilt to them and then get it back when they're done. If the Hand-Binding Fairy came to my house and did it while I was asleep, I'd gladly leave the money under my pillow.
