Some rotary cutter blades stick together in the case. Make sure you are getting only one blade.

I find using a couple of magnets helps me separate the blades without slicing a finger!

I have a lot of trouble seperating the blades from multi-packs because of the lubricant that they put on them. I feel like I'm putting my fingers in jeopardy every time I change the blade!
