Can I stop flannel from pilling?
I am making a baby quilt with LQS flannel, hoping it will not pill. It didn't when I pre-shrunk it. Now that it's finished and ready for a quick laundry, is there anyway, anything I can put in the water, to keep it from the dreaded pilling? Thanks.

If it didn't pill in the prewash, chances are you got good flannel that won't pill. I would wash with lots of water to prevent it rubbing against itself and do a quick wash to reduce rubbing also. I think it is the rubbing that helps form pills.

I've had cheap flannel that didn't pill and more expensive flannel that did pill. But if it didn't occur when you pre-washed, you're probably safe. I think the advice to try to avoid friction in the laundry is good, but flannel can also pill outside the wash, during normal use.
