Can't wrap my brain around this
I have twenty of these big blocks done. Haven't cut the remaining 16, and think I waould like to make a throw with what I have done instead of making 36. How do I lay out, put together. The point set & triangles alow straight diagonal rows.

you're not going to have much of a quilt, lay them out 5 rows of 4 and see how it looks

The odd rows have one more block than the even rows. So try setting:
Row 1: 3 blocks
Row 2: 2 blocks
Row 3: 3 Blocks
Row 4: 2 blocks
Row 5: 3 blocks
Row 6: 2 blocks
Row 7: 3 Blocks
Row 8: 2 blocks
You might want to either stop at row 7 or make 3 more blocks and do a row 9 to make it symmetrical.
Alternative, make one more block and lay it out like this, or discard 2 blocks use the 4-3 layout and stop at row 5:
Row 1: 4 blocks
Row 2: 3 blocks
Row 3: 4 Blocks
Row 4: 3 blocks
Row 5: 4 blocks
Row 6: 3 blocks
Row 1: 3 blocks
Row 2: 2 blocks
Row 3: 3 Blocks
Row 4: 2 blocks
Row 5: 3 blocks
Row 6: 2 blocks
Row 7: 3 Blocks
Row 8: 2 blocks

Kathy, they are 14 inch blocks, so yes, they will make a good-sized throw. I think in this layout the two end blocks are cut off in half to square the ends like in the pattern. Ignoring the color layout, here's an idea.
