Cathedral Window-Join the Journey
#102
I have looked at everyones pictures. They are all very beautiful. I made my son a pillow about 3 years ago. (Wanted to try out the Pattern) Saw one almost like it on Esty, selling for $50. I could not fathom selling a pillow for $50. But then again, I don't make stuff to sell, they are usually for all my kids. Anyway, I enjoy, making things, so I wanted to try my had at making a quilt. I took a picture of what I have done so far. I will keep adding to it.

As i know my CW is so time consuming, my thought is I would never get anything else done. I am almost half through a sweater I have been working on. To ensure progress on both, I have decided on the quilt by day and crochet by night theory. I can't go wrong that way, lol. This, of course, is when time permits.
A friend of mine is also working on a CW and we keep up with each other to keep the motivation going. Do you ever begin a big project all enthusiastic and once you are in the middle of it, it becomes blah feeling? With this said, we ended up making a FB Group called "Cathedral Window Quilting". Hopefully this will help keep us moving, as well as, others. It is a closed group to keep the SPAM out but if anyone would like an invite....... This is not to take away from the boards at all.... Just another way to stay in touch with quick access on a specific topic (CW Pattern)

Out of curiosity, does anyone go all the way through their windows to ensure durability? I have taken the time to go back over what I had already done for this. I know it is not "traditional" but I suppose it would be a matter of preference.
