A caution when taking a quilt somewhere.
DO NOT PUT IT IN A GARBAGE BAG, A PAPER GROCERY BAG, OR SOMETHING SIMILAR.
There is too much chance that it could be accidentally picked up and put in the trash.

Have your I.D. on the quilt in case it is ACCIDENTALLY taken or to get it back if it wasn't an accident and it is recovered. A pillowcase made for that particular quilt is nice or a cheap one you could mark with a Sharpie (in hem - where it would not mark quilt) for I.D. could work. There have been too many thefts so keep your watchful eyes on your quilts and in some cases, like if you will be shopping, a locked car trunk might be best. Gabrielle

Good Point, clear plastic only if bagged, if in paper, they seem to poke out the top, as far as the post office the odds are with you it will get there, have heard of some private carriers, tossing packages, (just will not use them for my items, won't mention who it was) hopefully that has stopped !!
