charm squares ???
#2
Many of the quilting fabric squares that you find at fabric stores will come in sets that are called charm packs. These charm packs work together to make a whole quilt. Sometimes the quilting fabric squares are related by color, and sometimes they have a common theme that helps pull all of the squares in the quilt together.

I bought one on sale at a quilt shop once but I misplaced it somewhere. I was thinking that each square was different. I googled it just now and found that each square in a charm pack is different.

I have tried Charms and like them. You get a large variety of a fabric line in usually 5 inch squares but I have seen them in 10 inchs.
I just used them in the square form but you can cut them up for say half square tiangles. It takes about 3 or 4 paks for a small lap quilt. You will also need to match to the fabric line for borders.
I made one quilt from 1880 fabrics for a very old looking quilt that I just used embroidery thread to tack each square with as they used to do for the quilting. It turned out really nice.
