Comments about SE WI quilt shops (read if you like CW era!)
#1
We wound up checking out two shops on our way home this afternoon (tried a third, but couldn't find it!)
The first was Patched Works, Inc in Elm Grove. A nice bright store with a nice selection of batik and novelty fabrics. Lots of patterns too. And a pleasant staff. A nice place, but I wouldn't consider it a "must see".
The second was Sawdust & Stitches in Elkhorn. If you like Civil War era fabrics and are anywhere in the area - she has a LOT!! Not a huge store though, but she was super nice - especially considering that I got there 15 min before she closed and I was only buying a bunch of 1/8ths. I had to get her card - I would like to go back there again someday!
