This is not quilt related, but thought you quilters might have some ideas. I want to make the fabric covers to hide electrical cords. My daughter bought one so I have the pattern, but I need to know how to scrunch them. Can't figure that out, everything I think of will leave marks in the fabric. Would appreciate your help. Thank you.

what do you mean scrunch them? I think that if you just make a tube for the cords to go threw it will just be fine. but I am not getting it I think. you could sew elastic into both sides but not sure if that is what you are wanting.

I would just make it longer and let it gather on its own when you put it on the cord.

I have a cord cover in our camper. It has Velcro and elastic at both ends, it is longer than the cord it covers and looks
    very nice.

Thank you all for your info. The one I have is 6 feet long but looks like it is about 2.5 feet long. It is all gathered up. I know it is made from a tube that is 5 inches wide by 72 inches long, then folded in half width ways, sewed, turned and then dried some how all bunched up to make it look gathered or scrunched. Thank you.

It scrunches up when you put it on the cord -- just like when you put curtain panels on a rod. So if you want to cover a 6 foot cord, you'll need a tube that's 1.5x as long or 2x as long, depending on how gathered you want it to look.
