Do you clip your curves?

Do you clip your curves?
I was just wondering if anybody still clips their curves to make them lay flatter. Since I hand piece mine, they lay pretty flat with out clipping. sewing on the machine is a little different. I usually clip a few of them when I machine piece. My old Home Ec teacher would roll over in her grave if she knew I don't always clip. She was a "by the book" old gal. So glad she was my teacher.

My Aunt Lydia would be rolling right along with your Home Ec teacher if I didn't clip curves. But the pinking idea is cool, because it remove bulk. QuiltNama, do you live in Souptown?

Sometimes it depends on the curve, a gentle curve , I might not clip. It also depends on the fabric. A looser weave will relax at the curve.
I do caution that a curve that has been steamed into submission ... when washed may no longer submit to laying flat.
