I'm just learning to quilt, so I don't need to make an investment in EQ, but I'm currently taking a class and we're making a log cabin quilt. I'm finding that I've spent a lot of time in Powerpoint trying to see what different variations of the colors and placement of the blocks will look like. It's kind of a pain doing this in Powerpoint. Would I be able to just create a block in Quilt Design Wizard - like a log cabin - then change the colors and duplicate the blocks and rearrange them? I hope I'm making sense!
The Quilt Design Wizard is much less expensive than EQ, so I'm hoping it will suit my needs for now.
Thanks!

Hi there. I started with Quilt Design Wizard and although it's obviously not as powerful as EQ it is worth it in my opinion. It can certainly do what you describe! Also I believe it's made by the same company so if and when you upgrade to EQ (like I did!) many of the tools and features are already familiar to you.

I bought it first - before EQ and yes it will work to do what you want. It is a simple design softwear without all the bells and whistles of EQ. Not too many patterns but all the basics are there. I bought mine at Joann Fabrics and was able to use a coupon on it.
