does this work?
At work we give presents to needy families at christmas. This year I have 21 month old who wanted a teddy bear.... I have this boyd's bears fabric so I thought why not make a teddy bear quilt to go with the teddy bear????????
I want to use fabric that I have to use up stash, and I am wondering about this brown flannel
The color goes well with the boyds bears fabric I am just wondering about the plaid
What do you guys think?
I am thinking just simple alternating squares because we don't have a ton of time before the gifts need to be turned in.... unless you guys have a simple pattern suggestion???

There is a pattern which has the backing become the border/ binding. Sorry the actual name escapes me right now but there is/are you-tune videos to show how to do it. I think using the plaid as the back would be wonderful. Quick, easy, wonderful!!!!

I would just use the birthing (envelope method) for a small teddy bear blanket with the purple as the front and the plaid as a back. The fabrics go together perfectly, and my experience with Project Linus tells me that the cute fabric print will be just as attractive to a little child as one that is pieced.

thanks everyone.. I did think about whole cloth... and honestly its going to be for a little girl. The lavender will work for the little girl. I have some lavender satin that I am going to use as a ruffle all around to girl it up more
I don't know what I will use as the backing if I don't use the flannel for the backing.... time to go back in the stash
