Dresden Plate Quilt Pattern
#1
Where can I find a pattern? I see everyone's beautiful quilts and I've mastered making one block, but I need a pattern. I'm not creative enough to figure out yardage, etc. to make a quilt.
Thanks

Go the Missouri Star Quilt Company site and look under their "Tutorials", then "Project Tutorials" and look for the Dresden Plate tutorial. Very easy and quick way to make a Dresden Plate!
Hope this helps!

I got mine from the website for McCalls Quick Quilts. Instructions and template to download for free. When I got to the home page, I typed dresden plate pattern in the search bar and it came right up.

Here's a free pattern:
http://www.quilterscache.com/D/DresdenPlateBlock.html
I use the pattern from Egg Money Quilts and I also bought their acrylic template.
I also don't cutout the back after appliqueing it down. I feel it gives it more stability since it has all those seams in the petals.
I think the only ones who need to cut out the backs are the ones who are hand quilting.

Egg Money Quilts is a great book!
Also look at Missouri Quilt Company.

They have templates at a good price many times.
