electric lift or air lift help
I'm thinking about having a sewing cabinet made. I have no experience on the lifts, and never worked one, only watched on koala's site with the electric lift. The cabinet maker uses the air lift. I'm having the cabinet custom made, and like the way the electric ones look.Should I just accept what they use or ask for the electric lift. I want easy. Thanks Debbie

My brother, a cabinet maker made my sewing table. I used the air lift. Works good for me. As a matter of fact, I rarely drop down my sewing machine, but when I do it works very good. It is easy to use, I wouldn't think you would need an electric one.

My dad made my sewing tables - one for my Bernina and one for my serger and my Quilters Pro. The Bernina and serger have the air lifts (by that I assume you mean the kind that you press down on and they come up....) - they work beautifully. My mom has the electric lifts and I don't like them because they are slooowwwwww. I would save the money and invest in a good ergonomic chair.

Thanks for the help I just don't know anything about them. From reading it sounded like the air lift had adjustments and this was scaring me or that they could move and not be steady. Thanks

There are some adjustments you can make for the size of your machine, etc....in fact, the instructions are laying in on my sewing center and I'm too lazy to move the two books out from under the 6600 and make the adjustment! Oh well, guess that's what sons are for, huh?
