Empty Spool Pattern
#1
Can you convert the Empty Spool pattern to a paper piecing pattern. If so, how do you go about it. Or, is there a pattern out there somewhere.
I want to make 6 inch squares. :?:
Thanks The Bag lady

Here you go :D
Both are for 6" finished blocks
The second one would be my personal preference
I compare pieced blocks with PP blocks to see what has been done to make PP possible..
How did they split up the block into components...
I then make sure that there aren't any Y seams...T
Then I cut them out and see if they would make sense to sew together...
I am a more visual person/learner... :D

your welcome kd124 :D
Dakotamaid... I think what made it easeir to use EQ for me is relaxing... it is a computer program, but if you start using it thinking it is going to be hard to learn, you are talking yourself into having a hard time with it.
All I did was find this block in the block library..add it to a quilt layout and then highlight it and print it as a foundation pattern. This is all pretty much in the first few chapters of the manual. Try finding some quiet time and please try the lessons...repeat the same lesson until it makes sense to you...that was the key for me to retain the information.
