I don't know about the ergonomic thimble, but this is the thimble I use and it is awesome.

It is fit to your finger. Mine is so comfortable and I can't even feel it on my finger. Check it out. They have a lifetime guarantee. Worth a look.

You'll have to let us know if you like the ergonomic thimble or not. I've never heard of it before. I use an open thimble and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! Well, maybe a Bernina with a stitch regulator.

I wish there was a local thimble shop stop to see all of them that are made in the world!:)Or at least the ones online:)I have a friend that has the prettiest thimble and it wasn't expensive...looks almost like the reg thimble only on the top is a non grooved brass fitting..smooth w/a lip on the top....no grooves and it is a real pretty!! We can not find it to buy another!! And, where she thought she picked it up doesn't have them/and, doesn't even know what she is talking about...so sad!!:)Maybe we should do a photos w/all our thimbles;)LOL

My picture would be of my finger in my thimble, blood coming from some needle prick or another.

I use a leather one. I prefer the ones that are kind of a golden brown and have a small plastic disk underneath where the needle will be pushed. I wear a shorter black leather thimble on my opposite thumb. When I quilt with my left hand I push with the thumb.
