Excited!!
I ordered a kit from connecting threads today.. I've had my eye on it or a while but was waiting until the price dropped and I ended up getting 19 yds of fabric for 2.99 a yard woot!! with free shipping too. I usually don't use the pattern in the kit I just add the fabric to my stash for a future use cuz thats cheaper than WalMart and way better too!!
I ordered an kit from connecting threads a year ago that had civil war reproduction prints and I am just now using it for a beautiful quilt called "civil war broken dishes". But connecting threads quality and price can't be beat!

I like to order their fat quarters stacks of their groups unless I just love the pattern design. That way I have an equal amount of all the group. I do have a kit I ordered a couple of years ago and since I haven't made it I may use your idea of doing a different quilt.

Just got a package from Connecting Threads a couple of days ago. I ordered 2 king size batts (Hobbs) and about 10 yards of material (under $4 a yard). I'm always thrilled when I open a package from them and see how nice and heavy their fabric is compared to what I buy at Joann's or Hancock Fabrics at higher prices. Love their thread also.
