Expensive Oliso Pro Iron, not working properly....
So I waited and saved my money and last July purchased a Oliso Pro Iron for just under $200. Long learning curve but grew to love it, especially the fact that it didn't turn it self off for 30 minutes. So about 3 weeks ago, while piecing, noticed every time I went to use the iron, it had turned it self off, didn't think it was taking me 30 minutes to piece a simple block, so I started to keep track, two minutes...it was off..... So this last week end sent an email to Oliso, explained the problem, and asked "so what now ???" took 5 days to email me back, where did I buy it and when......
Has anyone else had this type of problem with this iron ?????
Does Oliso stand behind their irons, or is the fact that it is 15 months old now out of warranty, and it is an expensive 'door stop'....

I had an Oliso that was 3 years old and all of a sudden it wouldn't get "hot". It just got warm. I called them. They said to mail it in to them and for $79 they would replace it. I told them it was 3 years old and I was very disappointed.
I mailed it with no money but a note explaining what was wrong and that I spoke to someone and they said to mail it in. Well, 2 weeks later the same iron came in the mail free of charge. I waited for a bill, but none came. I think they checked it out and figured it was malfunctioned and just replaced it for free. So, I'm a happy camper with them.
So, in the Google search engine, type in "Oliso phone number" and it will pop up and phone them and let them know how disappointed you are. They will fix it.

I sure feel your pain. I have not one, but two $120.00 Rowenta irons and neither works properly. One sizzles and drips water everywhere and the other just leaks all over my ironing board. The worst part is that you can't find anyone to fix them. So, I have $240.00 worth of garbage sitting in my laundry room that I really don't have the heart to throw away.

Pending on what Oliso does or doesn't do, I will go back to a simple $30 +/- Black and Decker Iron from Walmart, far less expensive door stop when it stops working.....

Will your Rowento iron still work if you don't put any water in it? Instead I keep a spray bottle of water handy and use it to spritz. I did that for a while with my Rowento until it would not heat very hot any more.
