Favorite LQS is closing
My favorite LQS is shutting its doors at the end of October. The owner longs to be near to her grandchildren an d nobody purchases the shop in the 2 years she was trying to sell. I will be sad to see it go. All of her workers were wonderful, and very knowledgeable, and super sweet. Not all shops have that homelike atmosphere. I really felt like it was a second home. Does anybody else get this sad when their shop closes. Theres another one close by thats nice but its just not the same.

How sad! I don't know what I would do if my favorite LQS closed. We are anticipating a move out of state in less than 5 years and I get anxious everytime we talk about the move. I am looking forward to moving to a new city but don't know how I will survive without my LQS!!! (Hopefully they will be online by then!)

Our LQS closed their brick and mortar store about a year ago. They had been in business 42 years. The shop is still online, but its not the same. We miss our gathering place and all our friends. I have to drive over an hour to another quilt shop. I know how you feel and it is sad. I can hardly stand to drive by the empty building and see the For Sale sign.

It just too sad when a trusted business closes. It feels so personal , and the void from the loss is rarely filled. You have my sympathy , I am not sure what I would do without my trusted rescources.
I am still mourning the loss of my trusted repair shop...
