Favorite pencil or pen to mark for quilting?
#1
As a beginner, I'd like to do some free motion quilting, but feel the need to mark out some guidelines before starting.
I would love to know what types/brands of fabric pencils or pens have worked the best for you? Any tips/techniques? I am interested in those which do not require washing to remove - perhaps a disappearing pen or something that will rub away easily. :?:

I use Quilt Pounce by Nancy and templates to mark my quilts for quilting. It's nice stuff, you just iron it off when you are through quilting. It beats having to draw all those lines
Here's a link to what I use:

Thanks! When I find the time to go to the store, I'm going to try out the disappearing pen since I'm going to freehand some stippling or loop-dee-loops. When I get fancy with stencils, I'm going to use the iron-away pouncer you've all mentioned. Thanks much!

I use pounce sometimes and find if I rub a wet cloth over the area before I pounce the chalk sticks better.
