First Quilts
#41
I tied my first two quilts (30 ys apart!), then learned to machine quilt on my DM. When I got older and had trouble getting down on the kitchen floor to pin them, I got my Voyager 17/ Hinterberg Stretch Frame. I've never sent out a quilt. Like several of the others have said, I just want to do them from start to finish. I love the whole process, except the binding....I think binding is boring, LOL!

My earliest were knotted - and since then i've done all mine on my regular sewing machine...straight stitch of some kind. Keep promising myself i'll try to find time to practice/learn free motion -- but there is always something else to do !!

Well, not sure if this counts from me since I still consider myself a beginning quilter. But I have quilted all my little blankets and such on my personal machine. And so far I have hand quilted one wall hanging for a friend. I LOVED hand quilting, it was so restful. However I do plan on sending some out to be professionally done that I am doing as gifts that I want to last for a long time. My machine can't do anything really large on my machine and I worry my hand quilting isn't good enough to last against use.
