Hi,
I've been trying to fiddle around with FMQ but one of the problems I'm having is stitch consistency. I'm getting teeny tiny stitches, then big giant ones, then some have the bobbin thread visible. I know that it's about how my hands move, but I can't seem to get it. Is there "a" speed to go at? I know I should just take a class, but extra time and money are hard to come by these days.

I'm trying to play music to get my movements smooth - soft soothing (elevator) music ... hot jazz and rock does not do it. I'm still having that problem but I'm getting better .... I think ..... but still not project quality.

I have found it takes a lot of practice and I apparently still need more practice! I try to get a rhythm going and keep the speed steady and then hope I don't get interrupted. Breathing seems to make a difference also and I find myself quilting with my mouth open? Don't know if that is a habit I have or if it really helps.
