Frustration
So I was on a roll today, sewed together four baby quilts for an upcoming craft show the end of this month and was able to get one done of the long arm and have binding sew on and just needs hand sewing. Well I was not able to sleep and loaded the second quilts which has more of a jungle theme and I am about half way done and am seriously thinking I am going to rip all the quilting out and start over. If I was able to sleep I would just sleep on it and look at it again tomorrow...........LOL

if you decide to rip out, leave on frame and go to youtube and look up 'skinning a quilt'...so much faster and safer and leaves you right in place to go back to work...i do all mine this way when there is a problem...

I just finished a baby quilt and it was a tough one. I discovered that when I got fustrated I set it aside and came back to it later with a refreshed attitude and it seemed easier.......and easier on my nerves!
I noticed your other pic you posted and they are great! Good work.

I think you have "quilting burnout". Give yourself some meditation time, go outside for a while, and enjoy the night sky, or morning sun. Make a cupa of whatever you drink, sit down away from the sewing area and clear your mind. Then go back and really look at your project. We quilters are exceedingly harsh reviewers of our own projects. If you decide to finish this project, finish it. The "orphan kid" may be the one that sells first!!!

this is an interesting video. i can't believe she does that so fast without cutting the backing or quilt top! i've previously seen a method of using electric hair clippers on the back of the quilt to shave off the bobbin thread. but i'm too chicken to try that, also.

well, i don't go as fast as the video, but it's faster than picking... and re: hair clippers...i have not seen to do it by 'shaving' on the back, but i have used small clippers (mustache or nose, not sure...only about 3/4" across" but I still used them in the 'skinning' method, sort of like electric blades/scissors....
