Hi Sondray my sister who is older than me tell me all the time that i'm old fashion, but i don't care i make my bed when i get out of it, next i do my hygiene and put on my clothes and makeup, do my house chores and about 1.30 pm i start cooking, eat dinner at 5.30pm watch tv and discuss my husband day and talk about family matters.Saturday i do laundry unfinsh house chores, go shopping, joy riding, garage sales, and start sunday dinner,we go to church sunday and visit with other family members, all of our children are adults so i don't have to clean house everyday and most of the time i cook for 2 days i'm also the pastor assistance on sunday, and over the kitchen when we have special events.this schedule isn't for every one but it work for me, oh i don't work any more i'm a retired nurse so i'm pretty organize, i love all of you out there.lol Annette

I'm with Patrice, I would never sew again. My jammies are a heck of alot more comfy to sew in then a dress!! I just couldn't imagine. And yes, if someone drops by and I'm still in my jammies, they tend not to stick around for very long and I can get back to my sewing.
When my hubby comes home and I'm all disheveled looking and no dinner started, he knows I've had a good day in my quilt room! Therefore I'm a happy woman!

I used to be organized. I had that system where I know where everything is...hubby may not...but I kept up with my stuff; took care of it.
Now, everything is everywhere. I think having kids done that...LOL! My son throws everything on the floor. He can drag out more stuff and toys than 10 people. I just wear whatever around the house...I'm lucky if I get my contacts in and my hair pulled out of my face. I does make me feel better if I have on a little makeup. I don't always wear it at home, though.
I can work better with my dishes done and my beds made, but it takes a while to get a path made to the sink and bed...(ok, it isn't that bad). I rarely get time to sit down and sew, and if I do get a minute, I don't care if the bed is made or the dishes are done anymore. I might get my house cleaned when my son starts Kindergarten.
I don't get much company. I don't know the last time I had a visitor through the day. It was probably the gas man a couple weeks ago! My Mom doesn't even visit unless it's on the weekend anymore. I think she came over in February to help cut out the box tops. Before that, it had been a LONG time. (She hasn't been feeling well). I don't scare them away or anything (not that I'm aware of)! LOL! I just don't have girlfriends that I get together with at home...
BUT, if those were "RULES"...I'd make sure to intentionally mess up the bed and maybe even jump on it...and I'd eat a lot to dirty up the dishes in case they were clean...
Who said "Stepford Wives"? ...LOL! I follow rules, just not controlling ones...something like that! Hehehehe. (I guess I see where the kids get the orneriness from...hehehe)

Now days it takes too much time to keep everything organized and back in those days of organization, I did not have time to quilt. Now that I have retired, I think I have earned the privilidge to stay in my PJ any day I choose and quilt till I drop. Besides, we should look at things this way. If we are in PJs, no make-up, etc. that means the car is in the garage and we are saving a lot of $$$$$$ for gasoline expense and we're not at the fabric shop spending more $$$$$. I know my hubby appreciates that.

This is hilarious! Reminds me of the old movies like Leave It to Beaver when the mom was always dressed in a dress and looked so proper. Glad those days are gone! I prefer COMFORT!! LOL!!
