going to my LQS today
#1
I have the day off... The LQS is going to have a class on a sampler quilt only $40.00 for the class. Of course the fabric will be more since I will buy them all there, but totally worth it! I am going to attempt a King size quilt with all the civil war fabrics. I am excited and can't wait. I know that I would not try have those blocks if I don't take this class. Today I am going there to buy the book and feel, pick out the fabrics. Classes will be sometime in Feb.

I've never taken a class, but this sounds like something I'd be interested in doing. I'd also love to make a sampler quilt using the civil war fabrics!! Have fun and enjoy. Post pick of your fabrics and quilt when you're done.

I think I way over spent...I spent 100.00 at the LQS and then I went to Joannes for batting and backing and then bought a bunch of quilting fabric...it was on sale for 40 percent off and the batting 50 percent off...I bought a huge box...I ended up spending another 300.00...I think I am done buying fabric for a while...but I do have a bunch...and at those prices I could not help it. I quickly put them away...wait till the hubby sees the bill...YIKEs...but I knew it would be spending at least 200.00 for the quilt..the batting alone was over 200.00 but its 40 yards...I do feel a bit guilty.
