Is this a good deal?

Wow. sounds like a deal-breaker to me. Those cabinets are sooo expensive & the thingy that lowers the machine, wow.....
Go for it, girl!!!! If you couldn't use the machine, try learning or maybe sell it...

I have the Horn Quilter's Dream and I can tell you they are very well made cabinets, very sturdy, so this is a great price for even just the cabinet. Be sure the mechanism for raising and lowering the machine is in working order. If you want to get a differenct machine, you can always buy a custom insert that fits whatever machine you get. That's a thick piece of plexiglass that fits in the well where the machine is and then wraps around 3 sides of the machine to make a flat surface.

So happy for you cellin and sad for me Kim and I had talked and texted several times and she sent me lots of pics last night. Was supposed to send me the measurement of the throat as soon as she got back in town tonight. Kept waiting to hear from her so that hubby and I could go see it. Just got an email a little while ago that she had sold it. Enjoy your good deal!!

It was the cabinet I wanted as well. haha DH had told me that I could buy a new machine so the throat size of the machine was the make or break part of the deal. From the research I did I suspect it was smaller than I am looking. A great deal for chellin as the cheapest I saw that cabinet online was about $1200. I know she is doing the happy dance. Now to find me a machine that will meet my needs and budget.
