good tip for starching
#1
I was reading Anita Solomans book today and she said when starching blocks, starch and press dark fabrics right side down to avoid white flakes from the starch from forming on the right side. She also says to heat the fabric first because warm fabric absorbs the starch more readily, good tips I think

I have started using the new Niagara Non-Aerosol spray starch. It is really nice. Comes out in a nice mist, no spurting and puddling of white starch. It is more like the Best Press and not as stiff. If I want stiff, I will still use the regular spray starch, but for most uses, I find the non-aerosol is great. By the way, I got it at Walmart. $1.87 for 22 oz.

Thanks for sharing this tip. I recently purchased the non-aerosol spray and had only one spray that flaked and that was because I didn't wait a few seconds before I placed the iron down. I will definitely try heating first and then spraying.
