I have found a quilt that I want to make by hand that has over a 1000 diamonds pieces for 4.5 inch Leymoyne Star. (if I am not crazy yet I may well be with this project) I have tried making different templates but have not been happy with them. I found a website that used rubber stamps and ink for quilting templates. I had a rubber stamp made that works perfect. ( It includes the stitching lines) Has anyone used the stamping ink with light colored fabric and if so did you have any problems with bleeding etc? Thanks, Dawn in McCalla

I have not tried it but I have thought about buying the "By Kate" hexagon stamp. What you could do is stamp a few scraps and then put them through the washer or just let them soap a while in some water. See what they do.
Here is a thread that was around here awhile back about these stamps not much info. I don't think many people know about them. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-70223-1.htm

As Lynne mentioned above, Cindy Blackberg has a whole collection of stamps.

However, if you already have a stamp that works for you, why buy another?
Another option, not stamping, is Inklingo. If a miracle happens and I ever decide to do any hand piecing (and it would have to be a pretty huge miracle - like on the scale of "parting the sea" huge), this is the method I would use.
