I have seen Texture Magic online, and Saturday when I was at a quilt shop, I saw some fabric that had be textured with it and I really like it. So, since I had a 25% off coupon, I got a pattern for a pocket book, eyeglass case and little zipper pouch made with Texture Magic, and got some Texture Magic. Now as I read the directions that come with the TM and the bag, it says I can use batting if I choose to and it will make it more puffy. The directions do say to quilt the liner with batting, so I wonder if it would be nicer with batting or at least flannel between the outer fabric and the TM. Do any of you have any experience with this and what would you suggest?
Pattern for bag is here: http://www.patriciasfabrichouse.com/ about 1/2 way down the page.
TM info here: http://www.superiorthreads.com/shop/...c/description/
Thanks for any guidance.

The front fabric is placed face down on the table then the TM (or then the batting and then the TM). Then you FMQ or stitch in a grid pattern on the layer sandwich. Then you hold a steam iron over the back of the "quilted" sandwich and it becomes textured. You are not to touch the iron to the fabric just hold it over it.

I have made the bag you are going to make about a dozen times. Also almost all the other patterns that are available. If you are not using batting, I like the stitching to be about 3/4 of an inch close. With batting you can stitch farther apart.
