Help with batting choice, please
The next quilt I make will be one for my son, who lives in California, outside San Francisco. It is usually between 70 and 80 degrees where he lives, sometimes higher. He asked for a light quilt. I've seen many batting types and brands that people on the board liked, but I'm not sure which would be good in that climate. Can some of you wonderful people advise me on which type/brand to use? Thanks in advance!

I like flannelette as a light batting.
Mine is cozy, but it's neither weighty nor gives a lot of warmth.
One drawback ... if you want loft, you won't get much.
But it does have a really nice hand and drape to it.

I'm in the southern part of the state, and I sleep much of the year under a quilt with Warm and Natural. We may have warm daytime temperatures, but except for a few months in the summer the nights can get chilly, or even cold.
