Help! how do the doggies feet go?
#1
I am making a quilt with doggies around the edge of it. The doggies feet on the bottom are going down, on the sides they are pointing out, so what direction would the doggies feet go on the top? Should they point to the outside or should they be be pointing down? If they point out the quilt would have no top or bottom. If they point down the quilt would have a top and a bottom with doggies facing outwards on the sides.
Does this make sense to you all? I sure need some opinions here.

I think it depends upon how you plan to use the quilt - if to display on a wall or as a bedspread, I would say down. But if you plan to use it as a table topper it would be cute to have the feet pointing all the way around.

DOWN seems to be the consensus - -Thanks everybody so much for your input. I really am working in a fog right now as I have been on this quilt now it seems forever and each day brings another crisis about it - -sigh

I would say it depends on the main part of the quilt.
If the fabric in the blocks is directional and there is a clear top, then the feet should go down.
If the print on the blocks is not directional and go various directions, then the feet should go out.
In other words, the border direction should match the quilt direction.
