Help! I need some inspiration.

This panel measures apx. 36 x 42. I'd like to add one or more borders to make it a lap size but have absolutely no idea what would be a good choice. It needs to be kind of quick and easy because it's for my secret pal at Bunco. Need to finish, quilt and bind in two weeks (I have a full time job so time is not on my side.) Would love your suggestions.

One of the gals on the German quiltforum did hers with pillow turn and no added borders. It looks good.

Do you have any red checked gingham the size of the red check? I would simply add a row of red check to the top and bottom, the same size as the green and call it good. You could sandwich the quilt, top stitch an inch from the edge and then tie it.

Perhaps a small dark green border in a solid or tone-on-tone, then another border of a fabric matching (or close) to the panel colors. Bind it in dk. green or red.
For quilting, maybe outline the wreath, and quilt along the straight lines in the panel.
