I make lots of lap quilts and baby quilts with Minkee/Cuddle fabric. What others say about it is all true. It slips and slides when you sew it, and it lints like crazy. However, I love the end result! There is nothing as soft, comfy and "pettable" as this fabric! I find that the less I handle the stuff, the less lint it makes. I've taken it outside to shake the devil out of it before sewing. (Didn't work and was an absolute mess, getting me COVERED with lint.) Now I cut one piece at a time, carry it to the machine, sew and repeat. All these quilts have been done QAYG. I always use a walking foot to minimize "crawl". I have even bound quilts with minky. It's a real buggaboo, but the result is yummy. YouTube has lots of tutorials. Give it a try, I think it's worth the effort.

I saw one that had been hand quilted over it as awholecloth quilt. it had not been pieced together the quilting was not dense but the designs like a simple flower shape allover gave it definition and a nice puffy soft look.It msde me want to do one,I DON't know what was on the bsck. But i wanted to do one like that. You could use the machine to make overall designs using a freemotion foot or a walking foot . It would have a good feel to it also.
