I haven't quilted in years since my grandmother passed. Recently I finished my first machine quilt for my granddaughter. Things have changed and new terms are being used. I guess I am old school, we bought fabric by the yard and hand quilted on frames. Could someone please explain what a fat quarter is, a jelly role, and a layered cake?
Thanks Barb

They are all precuts of fabric in different sizes. Check out this site for examples.
