Help Stains Out!
#6
I think there are some products to clean up old linens. Grandma's spot remover and the Carbona line come to mind. I think you can get those at JoAnns and maybe other fabric stores. And How about Oxyclean. I soak my husbands work shirts in oxyclean for up to a week without damaging the embroidered logo. Here is a link I found for vintage linen stains.

Hope you find something!

you can absolutely use bleach with redwork.... my grandmother's linens were covered with embroidery and were bleached with every wash.... just don't pour it on the fabric.... bleach should be in and mixed with the agitator before adding fabric... get some embroider thread and test on a scrap... the bleach is to whiten not to remove all color...
