Hershey Quilt Show
#1
I wanted to share a few of the pictures I took at the quilt show in Hershey. There were so many lovely quilts (too many to take pictures of). I wanted to share one that a man of 72 had pieced and quilted himself. He did not get any acclaim for his work, but in my opinion he deserved some recognition. :) I hope you enjoy seeing his and others I have posted.
Also the antique quilts were exquisive, I only wish we could of taken pictures, but I understand their rules on that. They were in such wonderful condition for the ages of them.. They went back as far as the 1830's. The applique work was so unbelievable! I truly enjoyed the exhibit.

The notecard on the 1776 quilt is hysterical. Amazing work to replicate that quilt in its entirety.
I've always liked that show - I was lucky to attend it when it was held in Gettysburg for many years.
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
