I dont know, if this will be of any help. I order my batting from hancocks/paducah.com. I think for 6 pkg, it was roughly $95.00, includeing shipping. Anyhow, its called Quilters Dream poly--request loft. It's not thick, and its not thin. I like it. And me being a hand quilter. I've always been happy with it.

I like Hobbs 80/20. W&N seems sturdier but I think the Hobbs has a little more lift to it. BTW out of the package it doesn't seem like it, I always throw mine in the dryer to fluff up and get the wrinkles out. I also like Quilters Dream, but I think the best thing to do is to buy the smallest size you can of several different battings and then do some small things to sample them.
