I visit here each day and I see all of the quilts that are being made. It seems to me that most, if not all of you, are far more productive than me.
It got me to wondering how many hours you spend sewing each week. Do you make "sewing time" a regular part of your routine...get up, breakfast, read the paper, sewing time....

I sew on Sunday's. That is my "rest". I figured if God could rest on Sunday--so could I. I also try to sew during the week, but it's hit or miss. You have to schedule it in! I try to do that with exercise (LOL) but it doesn't seem as easy.

I try for about 10 hours a week. Usually about an hour after I get home from work, then about 2 hours on Saturday and 3 hours on Sunday - however best laid plans are often interfered with by DH and daughters. Some weeks the answer is only one hour!

A year ago I "retired" so I could quilt but DH lost his job. I "unretired" to work 1-2 days a week so I could quilt BUT now I'm back working 40 hrs per week and wish I could quilt!! I sew all afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays while doing laundry.
Someone said something about dirty floors--light candles in the evening and you'll never notice LOL!!

I sew every single day! All afternoon after taking care of chores, shopping, the pets and hubby has left for work. Then again in the evening after dinner and a little tv time with hubby. Maybe up to 6 hrs a day.
I used to think I needed to get a life - - - but I really enjoy my time in the sewing room. I worked outside the home forever and raised 4 kids, now I can do what I want to do - so I sew every single day. :D
