How many ladies and gentlemen also sew sew?

LOL as you see I sew sew. I I rarely make clothes anymore but used to sew for me, my kids, and the home, now mostly for the home. I also make cloth dolls, restore antique dolls which often means vintage clothes or new bodies. When kids were young I took a jeans class and made ten pair the first week. Kids are age 31 to 45 now, so thats in the past. I like heirloom sewing also. Good board is http://sewing.patternreview.com/. There are many others.

I sew clothes, made my own wedding dress 39 years ago, back when mini was the hem length. I made clothes for my sisters, shirts for hubby, little boy clothes for our son. Then later hubby and I got into covering snowmobile, motorcycle and boat seats. I've done a lot of sewing over the years besides quilts and crafts.

I sew sew. I sew clothes (mostly for my children when they were younger). But now that they are grown I sew mostly draperies, pillows, and decorator items. I sew much better than I quilt -- but practice makes perfect -- right? I have only completed one baby quilt, and am in the process of piecing my first large quilt.

I sew sew. Anything you name it. clothes for my kids , halloween costumes, handbags and purses, for plays at church & school, hemming for folks, flower girl dresses, curtains. And I need to get back to sewing my own clothes, shopping today, left disgusted without buying a thing. Can they not make a long blouse? The woes of being tall

I wish I could. I've never tried it. The idea of measuring fabric for clothing intimidates me like no other for some reason. I've made throw pillows for our couch, but that's it. Someday I will make pjs or something that can be worn. I really want to.

I sew sew. I love making clothes for my grandkids (all four got flannel lined jackets for Christmas this year); pillows, curtains, beds for my dogs. I used to make a lot of my own clothes (even made my own prom and wedding dress) but not so much in the past 25 yrs. But I think I'll be getting back into that now that my kids are grown and on their own. I even made a good friend's wedding gown when they renewed their vows (it was my "present" to them). Pattern prices are horrible. If you have a JoAnn's near you watch their sales, you can sometimes get them for a buck!

I've been sewing most of my life. I've only been quilting since (I was going to say since my daughter was about 5 then I realized how long ago that was, she's 41!) Where did the time go. Can you imagine how many miles our machines have traveled if stitches were miles!
