Including the 5 pairs in the kitchen, living room and other appropriate places, I have 12.

Only 3 for sewing. Don't ask how many dog grooming shears I have, and you don't want to know what they cost either!!

The up-side is that I attend enough dog shows with shear sharpening services that I can take all my scissors and knives to dog shows for a weekend and they come back sharper :)

My son counted 16 pairs of scissors in my sewing room just lately and he probably didn't find them all. My excuse is that I run a lot of workshops and teach 4-H and not everybody remembers or has the right tools for the job. I've always loved to cut right from the time I was five and gave my younger sister with the almost waist length curls a very short pixie cut!
