HUGE HANCOCK FABRICS SALE TODAY!
#1
I was there last night (which goes until today at 6 p.m. Central time).
The Warm and Natural batting 50% off, all threads 50% off, flannel fabric 50% off. Of course, other stuff, but I did some damage. I got the backing for my dd's birthday quilt - he wanted flannel.
Will post pics of quilt later - after I make a few blocks!
Happy Shopping!! :D :D

I'll have to check out the online sale. I did have one 1 mile from my house and they closed up 1 1/2 years ago   Now I have to go about 1 hr 45 min away for the nearest one. I get tired of Joann's all the time, plus they seemed to have better fabric, a better selection and more fleece. I still miss them

Wow I've never even heard of Hancock fabric... but it'll be nice to have a cool online store like this! Like someone else said... Joanne's get's a bit boring. Plus they're so generic, nice to spice up projects with different stuff you can't find everywhere!

While out and about with DH yesterday we ended up at the auto parts store. Dead battery, long story. On the upside it's right next to Hancock. I'd just been there a few days ago so tried to resist going in, even though they had up a bunch of sale signs. The temptation was too much, I ended up going in for a quick look around. Notions 50% off so I got more needles and some pins. Picked up a few more pieces for my batik collection at 50% off. Then I saw that fat quarter bundles were 60% off. I'd sworn off fat quarters but just couldn't resist. I did limit myself to two but only because they didn't have a second of another one I liked. The calicos are also on for 50% off so I may just have to go back today and pick up some basics for background, backs, etc. Need to take swatches to match colors. Gotta love those 50% off sales!

Hancocks is nice. Our store closed last year but I know a lot of people really miss it. We have a drive to JoAnns but is a similar set up. I really didn't think of going online but will need to get some batting soon also.
