Walmart is keeping their fabric depts!! yipppeee! This is what the sales lady in the fabric dept here in Glen Burnie told me today. They are changing this store into another Super Walmart and they are keeping their fabric. She didn't know if the ones already closed would be getting them back. But, it seems they will not be closing any more fabric depts. From what she told me Walmart has been getting petitions, phone calls and emails to keep fabric in their stores. Hopefully she knows what she's talking about.

That's wonderful. Ours never lost theirs just down sized it but now it's bursting at the seams with faric. One lady told me to today that they are gonna get 5000 yards of fabric next month. They don't have room.

Exiting!! Our Walmart downsized, but I remember we used to go there and get scads of $1 a yard fabic. It was a blast!! Maybe that will happen again if we all complain in a kind way about what we want and will shop for.

She also said something about packaged fabric. 2 yards bagged and hanging on racks in some of the stores. She said they had complaints about that too. It wouldn't be good for someone who needs more than 2 yards that isn't pieced together but it would work ok for us quilters. Maybe they will bring back fabric to the ones closed.
