I love to hear about families who buy a "nice" gift for one of their own. And it sounds like you have a very nice family. You must be doing a lot of things right! Congrats! You'll love it.

Check with the machine company and see if they have free designs. I have a Viking and every month they put up a new free design with instructions. This month is a purse organizer. I just went to a trunk show this past week for Hatched in Africa and they have great designs, very good prices. The designs aren't stictched so dense that you can't put them onto kids quilts or wearables. I was in awe of what they have. It is a family run busines in Africa but are the nicest people. Remember if you see a class in a shop that doesn't sell your machine most of them will still let you take the class as long as you know how to do the basic. I have one from where I bought my machine and there is another club that I want to join that does anyone. Good luck and I'm so happy for you. Happy Embroidery. By the way there is a Embroidery thread on here that is really big but you might be able to get a lot of useful info from it.

Check out Embroidery Library (www.emblibrary.com). The designs are wonderful and they have great specials. What a wonderful Mother's Day gift!
